Crafting a Wedding: Baking, Embroidery, and Love

Hello, fellow crafters!

I’m thrilled to share a special project that I recently completed for a truly unforgettable event—my son’s wedding! As many of you know, I love diving into various crafts, and this occasion was the perfect opportunity to bring my skills together to create something home made and special.

Beautifully Baked and Decorated Cookies

or the wedding, I decided to bake and decorate cookies that not only tasted delightful but also added a touch of elegance to the reception. I chose a South African ginger cookie recipe that holds its shape well and is perfect for decorating.

Personalized Embroidered Serviettes

In addition to the cookies, I also embroidered serviettes for each guest. This was a personal touch that added elegance and warmth to the table settings. Using high-quality cotton serviettes, I embroidered each guest’s name with the wedding colour. The process involved many hours of stitching, but the end result was stunning. Each serviette not only served a practical purpose but also became a keepsake for the guests to remember the special day.

A Labour of Love

Putting together these elements for my son’s wedding was a true labour of love. It was a joy to see everything come together beautifully on the big day. Crafting for such a special occasion was incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to have been able to contribute in such a meaningful way.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope these creations inspire you to add a personal touch to your next big event!

Happy crafting,
