Redwork challenge

I have set myself a digitising challenge. I’ve downloaded a 30 Day Challenge Prompts journal for sketching, challenge yourself to create every day. And rather than sketching, I decided I will digitise. So here we go! Want to see how these designs stitch out?

Zoo Cookies

We’ve been chatting about childhood memories and what we miss from our childhood.  That made me think of ‘zoo cookies’, something I ate as a child. The thought of ‘zoo cookies’ brought back such happy memories.  I just had to recreate these as embroidery felties. I call them ‘safari biscuits’.

Big 5

I really enjoyed creating these ‘In the hoop’ machine embroidery coasters. Making these animals was so much fun.

Digitising

It has been some time since I’ve posted.. then again so much has happend since then! One thing I am seriously getting into lately is digitising. I’ve always wanted to do it, and I had some software to digitise but since I’ve upgraded my software to Hatch it is as if a whole new world…

Farm Yard

I had so much creating these little farm yard friends. These are my first stuffies digitised from scratch. I must say, I love them and think it came out beautifully.

Kids drawing zipper bag

For ages now, I wanted to digitise one of my kids drawings. They are adults now, and I use to love their drawings when they were little. So I’ve been clearing out some old papers and found this lovely drawing in between all the papers. I just had to digitise it and use it on…

New placemats

I’ve made a new table cloth for my dining room and decided some placemats in the same fabric would look lovely. I had a lot of fun digitising the knife, fork and cake fork, then embroider it on the fabric.
