I love creating free machine embroidery designs. I started my machine embroidery journey with free designs, generously shared by amazing designers. These free designs helped me to learn the craft of machine embroidery and I hope that my free designs will help others to try a variety of embroidery projects without having to worry about…

March 2021
Looking back at March, I made loads of tiny maps… Your map might not look 100% like you remember in geography class… I’m more of an a creative than cartographer. Artistic licence is used with every design and each is meant to lovingly represent rather than realistically detail destinations. The map designs are very small (40mm!),…
February 2021
Apart from giving away free machine embroidery designs each Friday, I also created more designs. In February I started the ilove range and my first ilove key fob, still stays my favourite, the ilove Africa key fob. Creating these designs, take so much time. Prepping the material in advance, and the hours of photos, editing…
Redwork challenge
I have set myself a digitising challenge. I’ve downloaded a 30 Day Challenge Prompts journal for sketching, challenge yourself to create every day. And rather than sketching, I decided I will digitise. So here we go! Want to see how these designs stitch out?
Zoo Cookies
We’ve been chatting about childhood memories and what we miss from our childhood. That made me think of ‘zoo cookies’, something I ate as a child. The thought of ‘zoo cookies’ brought back such happy memories. I just had to recreate these as embroidery felties. I call them ‘safari biscuits’.
Big 5
I really enjoyed creating these ‘In the hoop’ machine embroidery coasters. Making these animals was so much fun.
Digitising

Farm Yard
I had so much creating these little farm yard friends. These are my first stuffies digitised from scratch. I must say, I love them and think it came out beautifully.
I Made My Own Shoes (And Yes, I’m Still in Shock)
Let me start by saying: I didn’t expect to actually walk away in shoes I made with my own two hands. But I did. And not only did they survive the workshop, they’re still holding up under real-life walking, with actual feet in them. Mine. It’s wild. A few weeks ago, I went on a…
Ice packs
The other day I decide to make some ice pack, especially now that all the peas in the freezer are being eaten 😉
