From Little Raccoon Drawings to Fridge Magnets

Turning Jimothy into Fridge Magnets with My xTool M2

I came across a lovely little illustration of Jimothy and really liked the character, so I decided to have a go at creating some of my own raccoon illustrations — keeping that slightly quirky, hand-drawn feel but making them a little more cartoony and fun.

I ended up with a whole collection of little raccoons, each with their own personality — Curious, Sweet, Adorable, Adventurous, Cozy, Mischievous, Sleepy, Friendly and Playful.

But of course, creating the pictures was only the beginning…

This was the perfect little project to try out on my xTool M2.

I took the raccoon designs and turned them into fridge magnets, cutting them out and giving each one its own little personality.

There is something really satisfying about taking something that started life as a digital drawing and ending up with a physical object that you can actually hold in your hand.

And I think they look rather cute all lined up together! 🥰

The xTool M2 has opened up so many possibilities for me. I love being able to move between different types of creative projects — from engraving and cutting to experimenting with artwork and turning my designs into something tangible.

I’m already thinking about what other little characters I could turn into magnets next…

Maybe Jimothy needs some friends? 🤔🦝
